Floor graphics in 3D is a great way to promote events or products, and you can even use flooring advertising as a way finding device in malls or on sidewalks or store aisles.
If you expand your thinking, you can also use floor graphics on walls and stairways as well. Due to the tough overlaminates used,, it is a durable product anywhere human (or otherwise) contact might be made.
3D Floor Graphics Advertising to Bolster Your Brand Awareness and Sales
This type of graphic print is done digitally or screen-printed, using a specific vinyl with adhesives that will stick to most surfaces including rough or smooth concrete, carpet, tile, and many other types of flooring. Because most are used for specific events such as trade shows or conventions, it’s rare that a large enough quantity of floor decals will be needed to justify screen printing, so more often than not, we produce through digital press.
Adhesives Used
The adhesive used is a removable type, so as to be able to remove the stickers designed for floors on completion of an event. However, if you’re going to use the items on walls, you’ll want to use the same laminate, but not the same adhesive vinyl. You’d need a more permanent adhesive. If you’re specifically for walls, make sure that the printing professionals you are dealing with know these details.
Another type of flooring advertising is termed a “sidewalk graphic.” This has a thicker, gooey adhesive that fills the pores in concrete or asphalt sidewalks, walls, pillars, and the like. Again, if you are interested with this, your graphics professional should be able to get you the right media if you request “sidewalk graphics.”
Real Life Examples of Successful Flooring Advertising
One of our clients sells shoes, so he wanted something that advertised his shoes with, of course, in the shape of a footprint. At that time we didn’t print such designs, but it was still a great concept. As you went into a shoe store, you could follow the visual “footprints” to the section of the store where their shoes were located.
Stanley Tools did a promotion with some 27″ diameter pieces at some stores (see photo above) a couple years back, using such ad media to promote a new tool that they were selling at Lowes. Die-cut shapes can add interest to designs, as the previous two examples show.
Stickers and decals in 3D are the latest development in flooring print displays. Using an anamorphic design software, displays can be created that has the appearance of rising up from the floor. This marketing method has never been so creative, but not all companies that claim to design and imprint them are competent to produce them using the anamorphic software, so proceed with caution.
Why This Is The Best Way To Reach The Young Buyer Today!
